Default C5 & C6 parts interchangability

Not sure if it exsists, but can we assemble a list of parts that interchange from a C5 and C6. I'm most concerned with potential upgrades, without going aftermarket. Example will a C6 ZO6 clutch fit a C5 Zo6?

It should,

I have a C6 Z06 clutch (and ls2 flywheel) in my 1998 WS6. You will have to change flywhels. Try a search for LS7 clutch install.

definitly a good idea over here

a ls7 clutch will work without a problem

you can swap also

c6 brakes wether it be z51 or z06

c6 sway bars and shocks are a direct swap, the c6z06 shocks are cheap to around 275 at most for all 4 shipped

the shifter from a c6z is a nice upgrade as well im told but have yet to try it

thats about all i know of

The C6Z shifter is very nice. Not a go fast part but the seats are interchangeable as well.

how is it compared to a aftermarket style shifter? i want something a little better then stock but not a pain to shift like my pro 5.0 (was) edited

also are the tracks on the bottom of the seats the same or do you have to swap the c5 tracks? power hookups?

You have a pro 5.0 on your C5? I didn't know they made c5 shifters, I thought they only made then for f bods.

Also C6Z06 and C6Z51 suspension compatible with C5's. Cheap too.

The shifter is really nice. It is short but yet retains the stock smoothness. I got tired of my B&M because how hard it was to shift gears. I finally enjoy shifting again.

The best thing to do is to use the C5 rails and C5 electronics and it will work fine.

forgot to add, ls7 calipers dont use brackets but will still swap on but, you need the correct backspace or may have to grind, and i believe you need a 18inch rim for the life of me i cant remember if the rim size is 100% correct

yeah at least 18s on the front
but the backspacing is the problem

i'm 99% sure that the Ace Slicks clear them without spacers

As a point of reference my Baer 6S requires a backspace of at least 8.00 to clear.
