How many miles is too many miles?
Im looking between the yrs of 1998-2001. So far almost like everything has close to 100k if not more...there are those out there with less but im looking to spend about 13k.
my TA had 140k on it when i bought it and i was beginning to run into some probs.
Idk much about vettes with 100k miles on em, but do they hold up a lil longer than fbodys and are they still good for a 18yr old guy who likes to punch pretty often!

Also if you know of one for sale or have one for sale thats around my $$$$$$ range let me know!
Thanx guys
I just saw a White 08 LS3 base C6 w/low miles close on Ebay @ $28,9xx with no reserve. Crazy, that car was $55K about 1.5-2 yrs ago.

His quote on Corvette forum:
I'm the original owner. Still driving it as my daily driver and enjoying every moment so much, that I bought the '07 Z51 too. There have been failures over the years as nothing lasts forever of course. The largest or most expensive issue was somehow, I got a Borg Warner transmission when I should have received a Tremec. After the 3rd major teardown, I elected to replace it with a Tremec. Other than that, there have been lots of small things here and there, but as long as they are kept up on, the car is reliable to run. As I've said many times here in the forum, Take Care of it, It will take care of you.

I'd go max of 60,000 miles in your situation.
But with only a 13K budget, you may not have too many options unless you can find a '97 or a '98 that was well cared for. Don't buy someone's ragged out race car.
I only average 5K miles a year on the Vettes. I have two other vehicles I drive regularly.
Pull up eBaymotors C 5 Highest miles, lots of well taken care of cars, guys trying to dump them. Most ''vette people'' will spend $$$ on maintiance & not drive in rain or bad conditions.
Be sharp, take your time, ask questions 13K will get you a good started car.
I'd go max of 60,000 miles in your situation.
