Default Running Rear o2s in the Front bung

My tuner has informed me that my front o2 sensors cant perform up to par. he said i need to look at running my REAR o2 sensors in the front locations due to the rear sensor being able to run hotter. has anyone done this???

FWIW i have Kooks 1 7/8LTs.

Actually, they are the same sensor.

The only difference is the longer cord/cable on the rears.

You can run rears on the front, but it will have no bearing on heat... same thing just with extra cord left over.

yes the plugs are exactly the same, i know some cars call for the same sensor in all four and some call for a differant one, some may have a better heater than others, but they all work.

WTF?!?!? First I am not sure that is even possible. Second, why in the hell would you want to do that. In closed loop mode, the LTFT are very important in determining the amount of fuel to be delivered. Has your tuner worked on a EFI car before.

um... not only very possible but very common. short trims are the norm for tuning. much faster and better than waisting a tank of gas waiting for long trims to settle in and average out. if the tune is inline the long trims are not needed. most turn them back on after tuning but some dont, ive had mine turned off for over a year. they are only used as a stored look up table, short trims are your instant fueling.
