Can you hear your intake?
Can you hear your intake? When you installed a CAI, (VARAM, halltach, airad, black wing) does it change the sound of the motor any? deeper, sucking sound?
Just wondered if you can here it. if so please discribe and say what you got.

A stock engine should sound deeper from the removal of the restrictions of the stock airbox. I added the Vram after I had LT's and and cam so I can not tell tone change at this point. I do know that I can place my hand in front of one of the openings and at idle and feel air flowing into the opening.

I tested out my VaraRam with my neighbors help. He put his cigarette about 8 inches from the car and even at idle it was pulling the smoke. We checked both sides and that CAI works. Huge vacuum when given some throttle. He said when I revved it, the smoke was immediately redirected into the openings. Just goes to show the thing works.

I guess that was a good Idea...

I thought i would get the point across that way! I have not really got a chance to test it out on a full quarter mile blast, but I was in third and nail it and you can tell the different in the way it pulls. I'm sold for sure!!!!!!
