Lowered C5.. Bilstein HD's or Sports
'97 non-Z51 lowered as far as reasonable without going to coilovers.. It will eventually have C6 Z51 sways.
Bilstein HD's or Sports?
I imagine lowering these doesn't increase spring rates, so is there a need for the firmer Sport shocks?
I don't mind a firm ride, I just don't want to be bouncing all over the place and feeling everything. I come from driving lowered F-bodies. Its a Vette, not a Lexus.

Definately look at the Pfadt racing adjustable dampers. They're short shaft, damping adjustable and inverted for lower unsprung weight. Give me a call if you want to pick up a set or if you have any questions about them.

*EDIT* opps, I see you already made a choice.

Yeah, those are definitely a bit pricey for me. I spent $900 on Konis for my Camaro.. loved them, but I never ended up tracking the car, so I kinda felt like it was a waste.
Seeing as this car isn't even a 6-speed, I have absolutely no desire to take it off the street except for a few 1/4 passes (nothing serious.. just a couple MFBA rentals).
I was really considering the later C6 Z06 and also the 04 Z06 shocks, but for the extra ~$40 I figured I'd go with the Bilsteins. GM shocks would've only had a 12mo/12k mile warranty vs. the Bilsteins essentially lifetime. I've had great luck with Bilsteins in the past.
