Would be worth it if the cars is running 15:1 compression or said chick will back those claims up with a good BJ. Caveat, said chick must be good looking.

Are you pinging right now? Did you have to pull a lot of timing to prevent pinging at that compression?

If so, it can help with that, but you would have to add timing with the methanol injection.

It isnt going to give you any more power than what the motor could make with full timing at that compression ratio...just help you to run it.

No I am finishing up a built and the compression is going up to 11.5 and I was thinking with an aggressive *** tune @ WOT with as much timing advance as I can muster I could use it but I think I am just going to and stay w/ an over all good *** tune and then as soon as I get a Maggi then maybe I'll use it so I don't have to bump down the compression ratio and i can run 8 to 10lbs of boost and not worry.

I upped mine to around 11:1 when I tore it down. I could only run 22 degrees total, and had to pull some across the range.

My cam doesn't have any overlap though, if you are running a decent sized cam to bleed some pressure you should be good at 11.5. It is really hot in phoenix though.

We have 91 octane too in southern california, and I will still occasionally get slight pinging in 6th on the freeway if I try to accelerate from say 60 or 65 without downshifting.

Well I think that I am going to go with the Safe Shot from ZEX its between 15 to 35 hp and that is what I was looking for. I am dropping a lot of HP because its an auto build( RPM stage 4 4L60E), so I will use that 35 shot to make up for the drop in HP and I am thinking with a good tune and a good delay timer to kick in after the 1/8 I should be in the low 11's.

35 shot? It would be very safe and cool at the same time. No one would suspect that you were spraying. LOL.

Why not a 50 or 75 shot?

You can say 35 all you want right now, but we all know what's gonna happen..

Ive considered a na meth kit as well to raise the timing and keep the intake cool in the summer heat to avoid detonation. Theres not a lot of info out there though. Check out this guys results on a low compression truck. https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...ing-today.html
