I have the part # at home on my K&N box.

I used the K&N filter, and the VARARAM FOAM "race filter" in the same night at the drag strip one night.....

...my et and MPH where EXACTLY the same with both filters.

I chose the K&N since it looked like it was ten times more protective.

Thanks, I'm not looking for hp, I'm just worried about how safe that filter that comes with it is... If you think about it post that part number when you get a chance.

no probelm.

Without a doubt, go with the K&N. I'll try and remember to look in the garage this evening.

Get the new green filter that they started shipping out. I have it on mine and there is not near as many filament issues that I had with the K&N

I also vote for the Green filter. It's as good as any k/n and actually was made to fit the Vararam, whereas, the k/n fits like dog doody.

The green filter is the new one Vararam uses... you can order them straight from the vararam website, I think I'm going to go with one of those.

What about the new style VaraRam green filter? Not sure if it is now the stock filter that comes with it, but those of us that were early adopters got real crummy filters that didn't fit so well. Some have used a K&N for another application, but with some minor effort it will work adequately. that is the one I currently use, however it was given to me so I do not know a part number. It does not fit as well as i like, so I am too, looking for a good VaraRam. Any insight on the VaraRam green filter?

Vararam Green Should be "Vararam GR7041." I found it on the Summit website. It came with my new unit from the factory and is definitely a quality piece.
