Looks like you are coming along nicely there. I am in the process of a H/C swap on my 00 FRC and I am sure you feel the same way when I say **** that steering rack lol.

Yeah, I've got some ARP bolts already and I'm definitely paranoid about water in the bolt holes. I've got access to free cans of pressurized electronics cleaner at work which I intend to use to blow everything I can out of the holes and may try the rolled up paper towel trick too.

Not sure what times I'll put down (really hoping to break into the 11's at least) but shooting for 440+ RWHP and 400+ RWTQ on the LS6 intake/TB.

Man with your head and cam choice I would be expecting around 460rwhp and 420rwtq.

If you have 440 RWHP, and you can drive, you may get into the 10's. I ran a couple of 10.90's with 428RWHP.

Nice job!

If you haven't put the new heads on yet it would a good idea to remove the carbon built up on the piston top.

Thanks, I definitely plan to before bolting the heads on but I just spent 2 hours trying to degree my cam to no avail. I posted a thread in internal engine but for some reason I keep getting either 105 or 112.5 deg ICL (goal is 109) and I tried 4 different cam dowel pin bushings in my adj. cam gear

Might as well throw on a double timing chain while you're at it as well... Looks good, need anyone to ride with you and shoot some race footage let me know!

Well I finally got it after probably a combined total of 4 hrs screwing with the timing. I put in the stock cam gear dot to dot and found it to be at 112 (needs to be 109). Put the adjustable cam gear back on with one of my comp bushings and had my dial indicator on piston #1 and it moved to 105 deg ICL. Pulled the gear off and rotated the bushing upside down and it came out to 109.5 - CLOSE ENOUGH! To check it I verified I still had TDC set correctly and measured again and was still at 109.5. Below are pics of the setup. I had to make an adapter plate to get the comp base to mount to my block since it wouldn't thread into any of the holes in the block. Also didn't have a dial indicator extension so I had to mount the dial indicator as close to the lifter as possible which would only make contact with about the last 0.200" of lift but all you really need is max lift +/- about 0.100" lift so it worked out. Now on to cleaning block and pistons.

I'm not sure I'd mess with the timing...Dot to dot with the keyway lined up correctly is the way to go.
It's your car, but if your dyno readings are way low, you will have to pull it apart. Of course, on the plus side, they might skyrocket now too! Lets hope they do...

Now clean off those pistons and lets see some heads!

BTW are you going to check PV clearance? Just in case?

I degreed the cam to ensure I'm getting the max potential out of it. Like I said I found it to be 112 deg ICL when installed dot to dot which wasn't optimum for that cam...supposed to be 109 ICL. This just proves that cams aren't always ground as spec'd out and it's always a good idea to degree a cam to ensure it's installed on the right ICL.

I'm definitely going to check PTV clearance as I expect to need to flycut on the intake side at least 0.020"-0.030" so I want to know what it is prior to cutting.

Very nice Red99TA!
Do you know where I can find the decals on your center caps on your wheels? I can find the standard Corvette flags wheel decal but not the double checkered flag ones.

Thanks, are you looking for these? My stockers had this embossed and painted red but the chromed ones are just chromed over so it's harder to see...not sure where to get the C5 decals.
