There are only a handful of C5/C6 corvettes in the 8's at all. None of them are M6 cars. It isn't an easy feat to say the least. My car has been 9.04@157 and should be in the 8's soon.
I am currently making 1132rwhp through an Automatic. Good luck on your quest for a 6 speed record.

Just a quick update... We reached our goal... Got the fastest six speed Corvette record on 12-18-09.... 9.25 @ 153 MPH Here are a few videos...
In car looking at the speedo and tach... ignore the low oil warning, the sending unit took a dump that morning...

Awesome job ! I was thinking 10 flat would be reasonably fast,guess I am going to rethink that ! Maybe I will have to keep my car long enough to at least brush a 9sec pass.

I think you and rob are the fastest two I know of. You both are running fairly close to each other granted your have a higher trap speed.

I think you and rob are the fastest two I know of. You both are running fairly close to each other granted your have a higher trap speed.
I was with Rob at MIR when he made that pass and let me tell you it was perfect. That man can drive... He'll have the record back in the spring. Then I'll get it back... Hopefully we can keep it for a little while before someone else steps in...
