Default No named cam only C5 A4 with stock heads & bottom end runs 10s and shatter N/A record

This just in!!!!! A HUGE CONGRATS to Corvette forum member RC White who just ran 10.86 at 123+ on his 02 A4 C5 cam only with stock heads and aggressive bolts on with Yank PT 4000 stall (same one i'm running in my 427) with the following cam which has not had much recognition yet but will sure will get ALOT of PEOPLES ATTENTION. This was run at HALSVILLE TEXAS track and here is some more info below. This is the by far the FASTEST Stock/cubed bottom end C5 A4 on the corvetteforum and has shattered any other 60 ft times, ets and mph BY FAR!!!! ALSO, this is the first and one and only A4 C5 that has run into the 10s with stock cubes/bottom end on the vette forum and this was done on stock lS1 heads and no other C5 stock cubed A4 has gone into the 10s including all HEADS and CAM A4 C5s!!! May have to look into this bad boy CAM for my 03 Z06!!!! Oh yeah, and i have ZERO CONNECTION or ANY AFFILIATION with (MMT) but just like sharing this great info with the HARDCORE LS1/6 GEARHEAD CROWD ALSO, he is running 3.90 gears!

HERE IS THE INFO AND CAM SPECS!!!!!: (228/234 607/598 110 +2) on the street and the track since we got it and now with the PT4000 on it around town, it is very streetable, assuming you do not mind an idle at 875-900 rpm's and the Harley type lope. I kinda like it now and if you want to get attention at a stoplight or gas station, this is for you.

But it does perform at the track, which is where we are interested in using it.

Hey dude,

He goes by RCWhite i believe but if you go the vetteforum and go to the performance/tech section he has a huge post going right now that he started and you can get all the info you need.

I can tell you he has 3.90s, PT 4000 stall, Vararam, cam referenced above, LS1 edit tuning and headers, etc.

We have a 0% interest, $0/month payment for the heads to play around with. I wish I had them for good, but a loan over the near term is just as good. We plan on optimizing this combo to squeeze out the performance we know we can get.

MTI 427.....would you PM me or email specs on you 69 setup, we are having trouble getting my brother-in-law's 454 68 RS dialed in. Would like to compare notes with you. i.e. carb setup size, jets, cam, heads, etc. Thanks

Here's the link to the stats. Note Roger does not claim 400+ hp. Just an honest 389. Impressive combo in the car.

I was there when he ran that black beast and I can vouch for him that this car ran a 10.86 that night. I am not the only one to say this but his car has to be one of the most impressive C5's around for what he has done to it.

BTW Roger what how much did the CCW's drop you time in the quarter?

thanks

You know, it had to help some, for they weigh quite a bit less than the stock wheels/tires. And the weight saved is the real good type, unsprung weight. Unfortunately, we added those when we upgraded the stall. It was kind of lost in the mods I guess you could say. We took a little while to figure out the shift points the stall wanted and since we went from a 3500 Vig to the PT4000, we did a lot of tuning. In fact, when we first ran the CCW's at Redline and later at Hallsville, we actually ran worse. We took them off both times and went back to the BFG DR's and did not use them again until we went to Hallsville again. By then, we had the stall mod figured out. The, we strapped on the MT's and started getting the 1.4's!
