What I want is a comfy interior nice.styling with amazing performance. For gearing I would put 4.10 in and I only drive manuals. An auto in a sports car-is not cooland defeats the purpose in my head. Im thinking a cammed C6 Z51 is exactly what I want.

However if you do plan on going that route make sure you get an 06 or 07 because your rear end will be on borrowed time with 4.10s and a cam with an 05 c6 especially a z51.

I just really like the 4.10 gears.. I have had them in all of my T56 cars.. I dont really do high speed runs but i do do alot of stop light to stop light.. Plus I had my z28 with 4.10 all the way up to 145mph

It sounds like you dont know how the c5z06/c6 z51 transmission is geared compared to a t56.
For starters they are geared much more aggressively than a t56.
For example, just to make a t56 have equivalent gear ratios to the c5z/c6z51, you would have to put 3.90s in it.
So putting 3.90s in a t56 is basically the same as a c5z06/c6z51 stock which will give them pretty much the same gear ratios.
So picture having the aggressive gearing of a stock c5z/c6z51 and then adding 4.10s to it.
Thats not the same as putting 4.10s in a base c5 corvette or a non z51 c6 or a t56 which are geared much less aggressively.
All of the rear ends have 3.42s which are the same but the difference is in how the transmission is geared which makes the c5z06/c6z51 geared much more aggressive than a t56. So its nowhere near the same as adding 4.10s to a t56 compared to adding 4.10s to a c5z06 or a c6z51 due to the transmission being geared much more aggressively.

But yes.. It was just so much more refined. I don't know if I will fbody to c5 jump but there was definitely a gap, enough that It wasn't a question for me which I would choose.
The car overall felt more solid and put together tighter. Power delivery felt much smoother as well, you cant tell you are In a beast.
Not to mention the added little features.. It felt a little more classy/luxury.
Hope that helps.

But I agree with lemons. C5z feels way more like a race car compared to the refined C6. The c6 gives you more of that luxury feeling while the c5z flat out feels and screams race car.
The build quality is much better with the c6. Also more comfortable and a little bit better interior. Looks are subjective but me personally its about even to me as I love the looks of the c5z and a base c6.
I will say c5z are way more rare to be seen compared to a base c6 or a base c5 (coupe and frc) which are seen very often, at least up here in michigan.
Performance wise a c5z will kick a c6 ls2 (05-07) *** stock vs stock in any type of category!
The c5z can also give a ls3 vette problems on a drag strip. Its really a drivers race. But a roll race the ls3 will pull as it has better top end speed. I mentioned that because the c5z is a hell of a car especially for the price now days and it can still compete with a c6 ls3 stock vs. stock.
Certain people have difference preferences. Its just based on you. Some ppl prefer the race car feel of the c5z while others prefer the refined luxury sleeper feel of the c6.
Only way to know whats best for you is to drive both

My Chevelle although not brutally fast is a muscle car, very loud, shaking, vibrations.. I would really like really fast car that handles great. I want a car that doesnt' **** me off at six am when I go to work but when i'm awake when I leave work I can just thrash on it and kick some ***.... I think I know what I want.. a 07C6 Z51 with a mild cam and some exhaust... I think that would be the best of both worlds...
