Only thing I've really noticed in C6's is I feel more confined in the car as opposed to the C5's. Not sure what's that about but is definitely noticeable.

Just joined the forum. And, as of a couple weeks ago, just bought my first Vette: a 2004 C5 Z06. 15K miles, bone stock, torch red/mod red.

I could have bought a C6, even a C6 Z06 or a ZR1. But, I wanted a C5 Z06. I've always wanted one. Mainly because of the C5 FRC look, but I also wanted more of the "raw" feel that the C5 Z06 gives.

I have driven many C6es, including the Z06 and ZR1. No question that the C6 is a "better" car in almost all respects, and the C6 Z06 is just amazing. (Not a fan of the ZR1, but that's a different story.) However, I'm extremely happy with my C5 Z06.

Yeah I have came across a few vette owners that prefer the c5 over the c6.

I personally LOVE pop up headlights... hate they have been phased out due to aerodynamics. I think they have character

I also just bought my first Vette after owning every gen of F body multible times. And I could have bought either a C5 or C6 but I have a friend that did internet sales for Maxie Price Chevy in Loganville Ga for a bunch of years and got to drive 01 thru 04 Z06's on his "lunch breaks" lol and I just loved the way these things felt liked "refined" go carts for lack of a better term. I just happen to find an 03 Z06 with only 22K on it with every service record known to mankind and snapped it up memorial day weekend. The next day my son and I drove from Birmingham to north Ga. to do a white water rafting trip on the Ocoee and I fell in love with the car all over again and the damn thing got almost 29 mpg(and I know no one here gives a **** lol) but I could not be any happier with the choice I made. I am only gonna do some bolt on mods(well I say that now) but Damn this thing is just so badass !

Exactly. Refined go-kart is the right term. That's how I feel when I'm driving mine. So damn fun.
