Default LS2 throttle body for C5Z?

Will an ls2 TB bolt right up to an ls6? Will I need any retuning done? Trying to wake up my car a little bit. Thanks in advance.

The LS2 TB will not bolt up to the LS6 intake. It will bolt up to the LS2 intake (not recommended as they don't flow well) or the Fast 102 (the older 90/92 will also accept it). You will need a harness to adapt the electronics as well.

If you don't want to buy the overpriced conversion harness you can wire it yourself using the plug that goes on the LS2 TB. As mentioned you can't put this on an LS1/6 intake. I would recommend porting it if you intend to put on the LS2 TB...lots of material to be removed in front of the blade.

What's the best way to go? Ported ls6 TB? I just want a little more flow until
I'll stepping up to 1 7/8 headers

Yes - without swapping intakes the best bet is to just port the stocker. You won't see much gain out of it (maybe 5HP at most).

^^ What Red99TA said. You more then likely won't notice any difference porting your TB alone, except for better throttle response. Without swapping intakes, a decent bet is to port both your TB and LS6 intake together. It's cheap (around $330) and flows close to a FAST 78, with a good port job.

As far as I know, the LS6 TB on the LS6 intake flows tons better than the LS2 TB on the LS2 intake. It would make sense that if you port the LS6 TB AND port the LS6 intake, you would see the best results.

Thank you for the input guys, this is going to be for a Procharged but otherwise stock car.

I'm hoping by opening up the TB a little bit, even though the air is being forced in, it might help with throttle response as well.

OH! If you're pro-charging, porting the TB isn't going to matter. Trust me. You'll get throttle response, but you won't see HP gains. The blower forces as much air in as it can per stroke of the crank. While ported heads (and MAYBE a ported intake) will help, the difference between a ported and non-ported TB is going to be so small, it will pretty much be a waste of money unless all you're looking for is throttle response.

Some of my friends have told me they "feel" the gain, but the SOTP gain is throttle response only.
