Getting an 01 Z06 tomorrow.
Anything to look for? The top end was just rebuilt, LS2 timing chain, new springs and rocker arms etc. Paying 16,200 out the door. 107K miles. Fair? Trading my suburban in on it so I will be financing around 10K. Im excited, best thing that has come from my divorce.

There are a million things to look for. Check the corvette sticky FAQ above. I got a 99 about a year ago and it has a leak which is common on hardtops. 2001 was a long time ago but as long as you think the engine is running strong you can't go too wrong.

The top end was rebuilt 5K miles ago(I was showed receipts for it), also the ABS sensor thing; New clutch too. So it will last me a while, I think I did decent on the price because even with over 100K most Z's around my area go for 18-19K.

I would have loved to have done that, but she took it and traded it as soon as she got home, then bitched at me for getting a vette... Because I had negative equity in the G8, and I owned the Suburban outright so now she is saying I owe her $$$... its a ****** nightmare. Im just glad she got rid of it. She ended up getting 20K for it, and a fair price on her car thanks to me telling her to walk out on the deal and they would call her... The whole situation was just bad, and I am getting endless amounts of **** for buying a Corvette but like I told her verbatim, "You cant tell me what to do anymore." end of story. I wanted to keep the G8 but she was deadset on trading it in... oh well. Im just ready for the paperwork to be over with.

Yep, she said the Vette was a bad decision even though it's less payment than the Suburban and less insurance. Women's logic= failure. Plus, she got a brand new ******* car, so I dont see what she is mad about. Probably the fact I am going to pick up tons of *** in the Z. At least it's when I'm young, I just turned 30 so I still have time to have fun.
