2001 Procharged Zo6 - My Baby
Hi everyone,
The time has come for my favorite car to date to go to a new owner. She has honestly been the best car I've ever owned. It's been nothing but reliable from the day I took ownership.
My Fiance's father bought the car in 2006 from a dealership with 25k on the clock. The car has been sleeping in the garage ever since. He added a Corsa catback with two DMH electric cutouts. The P1SC Procharger was added after we had a quick race on the freeway between the Zo6 and my 02 Camaro. It was installed by him and I in the garage and he opted to stick with the tune from Procharger.
The usual mods were added to go along with the Procharger, including Autometer boost and fuel pressure gauges in a dual pod. There was a small issue with belt slip, so a bracket with adjustable tensioner was added, as well as an 8 rib pulley system with and ATI underdrive.
Lewis decided to buy a 2008 C6 in 2010, and handed down the Zo6 to the wife. A year after that he upgraded to a C6 Zo6 and I bought the C5 from them.
Once I bought the car I immediately took it in for a custom dyno tune to get the car running to it's full potential. The car put down an impressive 505/446 with 6#'s on the Dyno Dynamics system. After driving it home, I found that the car was driving and behaving better than it ever had. It finally reached it's full potential for it's current setup.
Since then I have daily driven the car on and off between it and my Camaro. The car has been dead reliable and well maintained thanks to my love of cars. The Procharger oil gets changed with every oil change to keep it fresh. It also has a speed bleeder installed for easy draining. Lucky for me this car didn't fall into the same fate as the ones that burned a quart of oil every 600 miles.
I would really like to see this car go to a good home. This car has been built with the sole purpose and lasting as long as possible while being an absolute blast to drive.
Below is a list of mods/upgrades that I can think of off the top of my head right now.
