Around here you can't find a stingray for less than 70k. So don't get your hopes up that this car won't go for more than 100k

I would be surprised to see it go for 79k wit the supercharger. Not happening.

Considering what these cars are capable of I would say it is well worth your money if you have it. Basically buying a slower F1 car that you can drive on the street and will stomp almost every foreign car in straight line and at the track. If I had that kind of money better believe one of those would be in my garage when they come out. Cant wait to see if they make a ZR1!

I got 100 bucks says no one gets it for 79k. Oh and it's a pig at 3500+ lbs.

@$80k it's going to kill the Viper unless Dodge puts a blower on it. They charged what, $125k for a ZR1 and it made less power.

The weight isn't too bad for the extra stuff it's carrying. Add a blower on c5z, meth, bigger wheels tires, bigger brakes, beefier trans/rearend and you aren't @ 3200 lbs anymore.

I'll take that bet. There's a few large Checy dealers offering the new Z at sticker (79k) and no dealer fees. Go to CF under the C7Z section and you will see.
I can get a 2014 C7 Stungray base for $49k. Just need to investigate on CF

Did the weight effect it on a roadcourse?

Don't think so.

c6's are heavier then C5's...C6's are lighter then C7's.... with new cars, you get more refinement, more modules, more harness connections/wiring...bigger wheels...sound deadening...high end interiors....yes, other lightweight panels and framing.. etc... but, you guys want refinement, you got it.

It comes at a cost. Weight. My C5 is much lighter...but it's a C5. C5's don't launch as easy as a C6...C6's don't launch as easy as a C7..etc. They just get better and better....even though they add weight.

I wouldn't worry too much....the car is gonna be a rocketship.

I think there will be a lot of sales based on this price point. The current ZR1s will be much more affordable.
