This is truly designed as a bolt on system with no cutting to the body/chassis, and completely reversible should you ever decide to sell the car.
In addition to the heat wrapping we provide with the kit, the entire hot side is 2-part ceramic coated. First we coat the inside with a 15mil thick layer of flow coating which reduces thermal transition by 60%, then an additional external coating which further reduces transition temps by 25%! We have gone through extensive development and testing to ensure the under hood temps are kept down, and that everything has sufficient thermal protection.
Here's a shot of our first kit running in the Pikes Peak Air Strip Attack 1/2 mile event.
This kit laid down an impressive 617whp on a 100% stock A8 through the restrictive factory exhaust on 6psi! The power bumped to 684whp and 7psi with the exhaust opened up. In both graphs you can see the power line separate immediately as the turbos are exceptionally fast spooling.
This kit will come standard with UPP 5871 turbos proven to 900whp.
But if that's not enough we have options!!!! Next up would be our UPP 6182R ball bearing 62mm turbo, or our UPP 72/104R ball bearing 72mm.
And for you heavy hitters, we have designed this kit to accept a full T4 framed turbo (down pipe modification may be required).
