I have broken my stock tranny in the Z06 again.I'm leaning toward getting a fully beefed T-56 from D&D to hopefully end my troubles.I have a 4.10 and plan on either a 422 stroker or a 346 ATI F1-R combo. The T-56 is a off the shelf item I can have installed this week. The MN12 will require downtime and from what I read it's not the best tranny for drag racing.Thoughts and opinions would be appreciated.I have to make a decision in the next couple days.

Is money a concern? If not , I would recommend having G-force rebuild your trans. They replace everything but the case. They use stronger , hardened internals and triple cone synchros. It's much easier to shift at high RPM (well over 7000) and it's rated at 900 rwhp. They have a couple of different gear ratio options but it all comes at a cost - about $2600.00. If it was me , that's what I would do because you would only have to do it once. BTW , how did you break your trans more than once? With what you have done they should replace the trans under warranty.

Dealer saw evidence of drag racing when they fixed it the first time and they refuse to repair it again.Which is only fair,I don't expect them to pay for my mistake.I have a local tranny shop pulling the MN12 apart right now to see what is wrong.I'm just going to buy what is necessary to fix it from D&D and see what happens.I have broken the tranny twice now drag racing. It may sound weird but it feels like I can shift faster than the hydraulics will let me on the 2-3 shift.A new Spec 3 and Mcleod master are going in to hopefully resolve this problem.

Thanks for the info.Tranny is getting fixed now(3rd gear and 3-4 slider were destroyed).I will keep the company you mentioned in mind if I hurt it again.
