Default Headlight Gear 3d Printed

Someone will use this. I used 80% infill PLA and printed at a 45 deg angle. I do not recommend printing at a 45 degree angle. Print it flat it shrinks more evenly. This gear eliminates the vibration damper and needs to be used with the provided spacer.

I'm sure yall are ballers and don't need this budget fix but as the prices of these cars fall there may be someone else out there looking to not spend 50$ for a new brass gear and/or not wanting to wait for shipping for the 25$ Nylon replacement/rebuild kit. Mine works by the way. I only have 20 cycles on it so far. Seems to work better as it is broken in.

Not exciting I know

So the link works on this computer but none of my other computers. I am guessing it is because I just made the GrabCAD account and it either takes a while to get posted, or they have to view it to make sure it isn't something illegal. That's my guess.

See if this works

Thank you for letting me know

So I actually initially 3d printed it to last as long as the new one was coming in the mail. Welp, I got the new one in the mail and since this one was working I didn't swap it until it failed

I printed it at a 45 degree angle so it wouldn't be weak amongst the layer lines but the problem with this is it expended/shrunk non uniformly. It was tight on one side and loose on the other

It wound up working for 2 to 3 months before I swapped the one I got in the mail. If you print with it flat I would imagine you would have it last longer than that.

Thank you for the model!

I printed this on a Bambulab P1S with PETG at 100% infill. Hoping that PETG is strong enough to last, will update if it breaks.

If it fails again I will try with a stronger nylon filament and update if it works! So far, the gear is working and has fixed my headlight
