Default 2"x1" module behind the battery

Theres a small 2"x1" module or block with 8-10 wires attached to single prongs. Its located right behind the battery hanging out of the thick stock harness loom. Does anyone know what this it hangs loosely.

Yes it would require battery removal. Its right behind it and is white top with maybe 10 prongs off of it and some wires to it. It comes out of the thick wire loom about 6" of wiring.

Hopefully someone else can chime in. My initial thought was some kind of aftermarket fuel pump setup but now I'm not sure.. a pic would be helpful. I have an LS1 not LT1, so yours could very well be something stock too, I'm not super familiar with those.

Yes let me get a picture. It looks stock but doesnt mount to anything is in older condition just not sure what it does. I was reconnecting the coolant fan wires to there original relay locations the previous owner had them set up to an outside relay where they ran when the car was started. The just had the car dynotuned for cam and headers 99 c5 stock 4l60e, 3.15 gear tsp headers, 1839 cam and volant air filter. I had to remove the battery to remove the grounds he put for the outside relay at the body battery ground bolt. When i put the battery back in i was looking at the wiring harness behind it and seen that module hanging out of it not sure what it does but the car would start and die for the first few times. I thought maybe it was out of fuel. Finally it started and stayed running as i just had it tuned last week which has run great since. The first start after the cam swap on the stock tune the car idled up real high till it relearned idle then would stahl when revved up 2-3k rpm. It eventually adjusted or relearned the computer and would start and drive normal. Another question i had is removing the battery doesn't erase the tune from the pcm correct? The fans do still come on at 201 degrees first the low speed single fan on driver side and then the high speed both fans at 201 degrees. I had coolant fan adjustments done to the pcm last week when getting it tuned at a local shop for the cam and headers as where the fans were wired to an outside relay with the key on i put them back to the stock 3 fan relays in the engine fuse block.

No disconnecting the battery will not reset the PCM. As for the module or whatever I'd like to see a pic. I'm guessing aftermarket

Yes this is it i was told it was an empty plug for something my car doesnt have. Someone else told me it was airbag related. Would you happen to know? All the wires are tied into the same metal prong once the plastic casing it removed.

Someone told me it was just an empty plug on something my vehicle doesnt have another told me it was airbag related. Under the white cover is a solid 10 metal prong with all 8-10 wires connected to the same metal piece so its something just not sure what it is.

I think its a tie in of all 4 o2 sensor grounds, tac, fuel pump micro relay ground all into the same metal terminals clip and ran to a single ground wire on to the drivers side ground at the block.
