Tall Corvette owners? A seating question...

Hi guys. I'm a long time F-Body fan/owner (specifically of the Pontiac variety) , but hte 'Vette has always been my favorite car. I'm now starting to seriously consider getting one (not any time soon, but even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. heh heh).
The thing is, I've been watching Classic Car Restoration on DIY as they do the '62 'Vette, and it's gotten me to thinking. The seat backs are right up against the body. I'm 6'2" and in my '02 T/A I have to have the seat back a fair bit, reclined (seat-back) a bit and tilted back a bit (seat-bottom), just so I can get a good driving position, and see under the top of the windshield.
The lack of space behind the seats in the 'Vette has me a bit concerned as a result. Both about just plain fitting inside, and about getting a good, comfortable driving position.
Any of you guys about my height? How well do you fit? How much does the seating vary from one gen to the next? (I'm *really* keen on the C3s and that is what I'm really thinking about getting)
TIA

The C2/C3 corvette offers a fair amount of leg room for taller people but the height adjustment is limited. The roof line aids slightly as the peak height is at the end of the seat travel.

Thanks for the responses. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
So there's enough room to have the seat tilted back a bit to get a good 'cradling' driving position? That's the kind of thing I'm hoping to hear.

Yep, I am 6'3" and I tilt the seat back, drop the rear setting and raise the front setting and I have leg room and head height.

now that I'm a corvette owner I can answer your question, hehe, well I'm about 6'2" 200lbs and its able to adjust perfect for my seating needs and still have room to go, the seat does not go allmost flat like my Z28 did but the seats are so much more comfortable in the vette, I could maybe see a problem if your in the 7' or taller range

I'm suprised some of the bigger guys have room, especially Vince.I'm 6'3" 220 lbs and I don't have but maybe a inch above my head in the car.The only way I can drive comfortably is with the seat all the way back and all the way down.I think the 03 and 04's have a hump on the head liner that the older cars don't have.Someone more knowledgable can confirm this.

Having driven both a C4 and C5 Vette, and having owned four F-bodies, I can tell you the seating position and leg room (particularly in the C5) is far superior to the Camaro/Firebirds. The Vette's have a lot more leg room, the seats are much more comfortable, and the overall driving experience is a huge improvement over the F-bodies. If I could afford it, the Firehawk would be gone, and a black C6 would be sitting in its place!
I'm 6'1'' and about 210lbs, and was very comfortable in both Vettes.

Do you have your seat all the way down??
I'm 6'1" and have prolly 4" or 5" at least over my head.
On the lighter side, I know a guy that's 6'7", and he drives a C5 vert. He says he can drive a coupe or a hardtop comfortably, but it's just too much of a pain in the *** climbing in and out of 'em. The verts, he says make it alot easier.
BTW, he doesn't drive it on rainy days.........
