Default X-pipe ? and Jacking ?

Do the X-pipes that replace some of the exhaust go from the stock manifolds back? Basically knocking out the cats.....?? Do you need to change anything else?

I have a pretty basic floor jack, I'm just thinking its not gonna fit or reach to the "jacking point" on the vette, I know I'm supposed to use a board or a puck.....the rear is no problem, but getting at them from the front seems to be a chore......any tips?

Drive the front tires onto 2x4's to give some hieght. The jacking point is right infront of the door.

The best place to jack the rear would be from the IRS housing right?
Or would it be the cross member?

Also in front, to hold it on jackstands I would want to place it on the cross member lifting point with a board between the jack stand and the actual point...or a puck...

Go and get a couple of long 2x10's at Home Depot , a lumber yard , etc. Slash cut them and stack them on top of each other and put a piece of 1x1 at the end for a stop. You'll have a couple of ramps that are 10" wide and 4" tall to drive your car on which will give you more than enough room for a jack. Try to jack it up in the center of the cross member (front and rear) and put the jack stands under the suspension arms as close to the wheels as possible. Be careful not to put the jack or jack stand on the springs.

As for the X-pipe , if you have ANY thoughts of getting headers later on , don't waste your money on the X-pipe. Just save up and buy a good set of headers (preferably FLP ) You'll be glad you did!

Yea I had FLP's on the hawk.......that is what I would probably go with as well....considering they are local.....

I have Rhino Ramps too.....the vette has no problems clearing them?

Thanks for answering the questions......still learning the new car.......the thing thats pissing me off the most so far is the damn memory seating......keeps f*cking w/my mirrors......

I don't know , Ive' never used any kind of car ramps. All of the ramps I've seen advertised to work with a Vette always say *except for Z06. I'm guessing that's because the Z06's have wider front tires.

Just re-program the memory settings.

You just put the settings to where you want and hold down the #1 selection?
