C5 odometer question
Question for you C5 owners. Can you guys also do the little odometer stop mod on your C5 ?
Reason I'm asking is because my fiance and I are planning on renting either a C5 vert or Viper for 10 days during our honeymoon in Maui. All the rental places allow only 100 miles per day and then they charge an arm a leg for each additional mile.
Also, if anyone knows if the Viper has an electronic or regular odometer?

Re: Question for you C5 owners. If you can afford to rent a vette or viper dont complain about the miles. Have fun in the car! Its not like your on a huge island or anything.
If they found out you tampered with the car you'd pay a lot more than just milleage increases.

Re: Question for you C5 owners. the pre 03 vipers have a little problem with pulling the VSS from the tranny, the car idles like it has a cam, and the torque management makes the car almost want to stall when you start to go, the revd drop, the go back up. (not what should happen when driving a car with 450+ # of torque)
also, the Reverse lockout is always energized because the car thinks it sitting still. (be careful shifting into 5th)
i got to work on a gts viper with a faulty VSS connector , thats how i know what the symptoms are.
