Difference & gains between heads.. LS1, LS6 & Z06?

Difference & gains between heads.. LS1 & LS6

Anyone know what the differences or gains might be?
I am thinking of swapping my stock LS1 heads for Z06 heads..

What do you have done to your heads now? Did you just do springs, or are they milled, or ported?

You'll see nice gains (20-30+) if you have the LS6 heads ported. Otherwise I'm guessing 15-20hp increase.

I could be wrong but isnt the LS6 and the Z06 heads the same

I would look into the 205 AFRs. They seem to be making really good numbers

Yup, they are same. However As we all know, Z06 is a model of the car, so if we are talking about the engine from Z06, it should be refer to as an LS6.

I just have regular 00 LS1 heads, and am thinking about some LS6 ones..
Not sure to get them as is for 10-20 RWHP or to get them mildly ported...

I feel that the aftermarket tuners have a better deal
By the time you get a set of ls6 heads and have them ported you will have as much invested as a good set of ET Heads
AFR heads ,Tea heads
I have a 2000 vert c5
Et Heads
Ed curtis cam
APE for the engine or heads
