Is a convert slower than a coupe ?

<strong>One more thing about the C5 convertible? Have any of you with 'verts looked into buying the hardtop for the convertible, made by a company for $1995 (introductory price)? I got the poop at home but forgot their name. Looks real smooth but as expected, kind of pricey. The normal price will be $2995, real pricey!!!

Your thinking of smoothline. Also carvaggio sells a hardtop solution also.
And FWIW, verts weigh less than coupes, no matter what GM claims. Ive even seen them weigh a hair less than FRC's on the same scale with same fuel on board. Think about it. There is no difference except for the roof structure. And last time I checked fabric weighs less than big ol' back glasses, and hard tops, or roof panels.
