What can we do to increase Corvette traffic here?
Hello, I am a CorvetteForum member new to LS1Tech, so far I have found a ton of useful information.
Thanks

Same with me. This is a great site. I've done most of my "hangin' out" at Corvette sites, and looking in at LS1.com. Glad I found it.

You don't give them the credit they deserve...I'm sure alot of these stroker/n20/turbo vettes can lift the front wheels...but you don't even give them a chance!
Most 'vette guys will mod if it isn't snake oil.
When 'vette folks here get together with other ;vette guys at events or get togethers talk up this site!
Business card with the site address are great handouts a big events, t-shirts, window stickers... the stuff that works.
That's how it came to my attention.
I each of us tell some other Corvette owner about this place it will grow quite quickly.

I'm muchmore comfortable with my C5 now than I was 3 months ago. I've done one type of mod or another almost every weekend since I picked her up. Not major, mind you, but that's to come soon enough. I've done exhaust, intake, body protection, interior enhancements, lighting upgrades and more. I've come here to gather more info on more substantial mods for the LS1.
At first, I didn't realize how closely related (inbred? ) f-bodies and C5's are. I've come to appreciate this and really have to agree with the general consensus that the average f-body owner seems to be more hands-on and techie than the average C5 owner. It makes sense if you look at target markets for the vehicles - especially the C5. Personally, I have a lot of respect for a guy with the cojones and skill to tear down and rebuild his ride, regardless of what it is. But there are still quite a few vette owners with grease under their fingernails. Their wallets, by necessity, have to be a little fatter, though.
This site is definitely hardcore in the technical knowledge department. As an LS1 owner looking to improve his powerplant and learn as much as possible in the process, that's great. For others who feel that stock is good enough, it may be overkill.
I was at a Chevy dealer this morning for a PCM update and alignment (after lowering) and met this really cool guy with a '99 Z28. We talked for some time about f-bodies, C5's, the LS1 and the new Hugger Orange SS he ordered. I realized we had a lot in common early in our conversation. But he seemed a little amazed at how much it costs to mod a C5 compared to f-bodies.
So, I'm sure others will check this site out. Keep up the good work!
Bob

I'm an old school corvetteforum member and I JUST learned about this site from a link off of http://www.thewrongmotor.com ............
For every "add an air filter and call it modified" vette owner that you can show me, I can show you a "bore it, stroke it, put Nitrous on it and THEN it's modified" vette owner!

I leared a lot about my '00 Camaro SS. Well its gone now. In its place, as of today, is a '02 Z06 Black. No mods yet.
