Default Help me run 11s NA

I want to run 11's NA, even if its 11.99. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
Here is some background info:

Car: 1999 C5 Coupe M6, 3480lb race weight.

Installed Mods:
Donaldson Blackwing
Corsa Pacecar exhaust
B&M Ripper shifter
Z51 sway bars

Purchased:
MTI T1 cam, CC 918 springs, MTI pushrods
Underdrive crank pulley

Goals:
At least 11.99 on ET streets.
At least 12.3 on 17" drag radials.
Drag strip is at 800ft elevation.
Must be cost effective, stock heads preferred.
Any weight reduction must not affect comfort-convenience.

I've got a list of things I'm purchasing before spring, but I'd like to throw it out to you guys first. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Aftermarket clutch and ET Streets should get you DAMN close if not INTO the 11's.
If not, just throw a kit on the car and you'll easily run 11's <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

1. Long Tube Headers
2. Cold Air Induction
3. Hypertech 160 T-stat
4. Simple Fan Switch
5. Weight Reduction:
a) Remove Passenger Seat (less than 5 minutes)
b) Remove Front Swaybar
c) Remove Rear Compartment Covers
d) Remove all unnecessary items...CD's,
CD changer, gloves, Condoms <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0"> etc.
e) Have the least possible amount of gas
in tank...1-1 1/2 gallons.
6. Stage as shallow as possible
7. Do a good burnout
8. Power Shift
9. No Sex the night before <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_tounge.gif" border="0">

Good Luck! <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />

So I guess this is just too easy. My real goal is to run consistant 12.0's on drag radials.

By the end of summer I'll have headers and hopefully that will be enough for low 12's in the fall air.

I'm sure I'll be putting in a clutch for next winters project.

Your race weight is too high. I also have a 1999 C5 Coupe M6. My race weight is currently 3240 and my coupe is loaded(HUD, power sport seat(s), telescoping column, dual climate etc.).

Here is the break down.
175 - Me
3065 - C5

I reduced weight with the following:
Conical K&N filter replaces stock air box, -4 lbs
B&B equal length shorties, ~ -6 lbs
Z06 exhaust, -17.6 lbs
non-runflat tires, ~ -15 lbs(unsprung)
Not sure if my cam saves any weight.
Ported throttle body and Ti retainers, ~ 0.5 lbs
Bilstein HD Sport shocks, ~ +3 lbs <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

When I go to the track:
-run with 1/3 of a tank of gas(6.5 lbs/gallon)
-remove rear cargo covers and passenger side foot well cover, -10 lbs
-remove fuel rail covers, -1.5 lbs
-remove passenger side power sport seat, -42 lbs <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

I know my race weight is high, I'm working on it. I'm pretty heavy myself, but my car isnt nearly as light as yours with less gas.

I'll try to figure out why the car weighs so much in the spring, I think it is mostly due to the heavy stock wheels and runflats.

When you say "stock head prefered", do you mean non ported ? If you are OK with ported LS1 heads and a mild cam that passes IM240 emissions tests (running thru factory cats) and still retain total driveability. Then you can use the same package I use as my car runs 11.73's on drag radials, plus I use the car to drive to Florida and everywhere else I want (70,000 miles so far)

By the way I forgot to mention my car weights in at 3510 in race trim. Full interior including CD changer, floor mats & tool box.

I mean non-ported. Just trying to do this on a budget. I'll be putting on ported heads eventually, I just need a few more things before I'll start saving for that.

My T1 cam will probably not pass IM240, but thats not an issue here. My car might even see its cats removed if it doesnt make it too loud.
