We are the few and the proud
I'm on the forum too, and really love the place and the people especially, but I don't look for anything tech there anymore--none of the members there talk "real" tech--it's all way too amature-level for what I'm looking to learn now, and the vendors market way more than they discuss genuine tech.
(ex:when was the last time you saw a real cam spec on that site--I think it's illegal or something )
Anyway, I'd love to get Corvette questions answered here with the expertise that the muscleheads get, but when I post a Q about a Corvette specifically, there seems to be little knowledge available to help out
It shows how few Corvette guys are REALLY interested in heavy modding, I guess.
If I win the lottery and buy the 50th anniversary C5 that I want SO BADLY, I will post up a storm in here as I will mod that sucker like crazy! It'll get driven a lot too, none of this tucking the car away in a garage crap to keep the miles low! Cars are meant to be driven, it burns my *** to see so many Vettes out there that are locked in a garage to keep the miles low. Who are they saving these cars for??
This section could be successful if more Vette owners would utilize it. It has to start somewhere, so start posting some tech questions
TimeWarp, what did you have done to the motor? I figured your car was stock LOL.

The downside is that they look kind of wimpy, as they have much more of a rolled edge, and 1" less contact on the ground.
I have these tires now, and overall (for runflats), I love them.
Now, if you decide to say the hell with runflats and want no-excuses perf, then you have a LOT more options.
The most popular seem to be the Michelin Pilot's--a lot of guys swear by them, and they must all like them for a reason--they are among the most expensive, though...
I am personally choosing the Bridgestone Potenza S-03's when it comes time--they are pretty new, and have gotten ecstatic reviews from those who have gotten them.
On the more cost-efficient front, there are many guys running Nitto 555's (not the Drag radials, those are the 555R) and are very happy with them--and they cost half of what these others do...
You've got a lot of choices, but anything's better than those nasty GY runflats
I use regular 555's in stock sizes on the street.

I was just looking on www.nittotire.com and they have a 18" drag radial listed. 305/45/18 will that work?

P.s. the nittos 555 extremes were brand new.
If you want really consistent, low 60's, I think the only way to go is with ET Streets---you'll pull 1.6x's all day long, guaranteed
Drag radials are a compromise. ET's are much less of one
