Z06 or C6
03 Z06 (which I can get for about $33-34k) or a C6 Z51 6spd (which I can get brand new for about $39k GMS)
I cant decide! I love the performance of the Z06 and I believe it will outperform any C6 stock for stock.
But the Z06 is still a C5...and the C6 looks much better IMO.

If I got the C6 I would have no more $ for mods for a long time.
If I got the Z I would probably do at least intake, headers, muffler for now
Also, another prob is my SS makes 500RWHP on motor right now, so either one would be a step down cause I would have to sell it.

Go Z06!
02+ Z06 is faster
If they were both the same price I would get the C6 because it will have a better resale value.(I would be awazed if you could get a C6 for 39K)
Not because GMS isn't a great deal but it is next to impossible to find a no options C6.(Most of the ones I have seen are loaded and cost in excess of 53K)
I am a little biased about the looks of my C5 so I will let other people handle that debate.
Your car will walk him!(My guess is 6 car lenghts from 35-120)
It's all in the driver, but could be a confidence booster hehe!
Yes, C6 has up-to-date technology but I'm not impressed with C6's performance...yet.

I own a C5 and have owned a C5 z06, and I'm telling him to get the C6. Have you even owned an LS1, let alone a C5? You should let the people who actually know what they are talking about speak in this thread, and try to learn as much as you can. Sorry to be so hard on you, but it upsets me when somebody tries to represent an opinion as a fact when they actually have no idea or experience. I feel I am qualified to speak on this subject after owning 2 C5's (including a C5 Z06), and driving a few C6's. The C6 does NOT feel any slower than the C5 Z06 in ANY way, shape, or form.
