Open up the vents in the front of the car to let cool air in.
The more air in and out the more power you will make.
If your tight on cash since you just purchased car but you just gotta mod..
Buy airfilter intakes...exhausts..shifters on the various forums that are preowned..
Obviously just make sure the guys have lots of posts and seem legit..
Pay half the price for all your mods..
Theres no moving parts on exhausts..intakes..and half the shifters never make it to the proper breakin stage where they work nicely..
The Corvette forums are filled with more preowned product than you can shake a stick at. No moving parts..what the hell..
I'd hang with the car as you have it for a bit till you read about or hook up with some local Corvette guys to get a better idea of what you want..
Intakes..two concepts..Cold air intakes..Halltech Tric/Vararam/Vortex
Underhood intakes: Halltech T1 or Blackwing or the dual cone shown above.
Just make sure as your buying used..the 97 to 2000 corvettes used a 3.5 inch maf and the 2001 to 2003 are using a 4 inch maf..
You need to match the size to your car when purchasing..
As far as exhausts go..mostly sound benefit..One thing nice about going with Corsa touring or Indy's is that you know you wont have resonance..
Some other systems might..
Touring quiet..
Indy's louder..
X pipe's not a bad idea to get even idle sound as well.
Shaner S2 throttle body is a cool 169 dollar mod..
And buying a new Vinci 178 degree thermostat for about 95 bucks was in my opinion a good mod.
Congratulations on your car..
Vettes rock!
