If anyone has pictures of the underneath of a 99 Vette, i have a wire hangin not sure what it is.. its steal braided trying to figure out what it is thanx

about where on the car is it? I got the entire bottom of my car pulled I am sure I can figure it out when you say abotu where it is.

I will try and describe it... there is like like a flat piece half way in the middle of the car maybe tranny cover thats where it hides... i am sorry i really dont know its not my car

hard to say that area is the tunnel brace. Most wires in thereare behind the brace. The metal piece you are seeing has a bunch of bolts holding it up in there about the exhaust right? IF that is what you are looking at then that is what it is. Chances are its somethign aftermarket because there is no steel braded lines in that area. Could be a old wire from a nitrous setup maybe or a cutout possibly, returned to stock. Most wires are above that brace are OEM, and the black plastic tubing around it. Is it closer to the engine or the rear. Cause other wise it might be the wiring for the rear O2 sensor, or a wire to a O2 sim I suppose If its disconnected and you are not getting any lights or codes its nothign I would worry about persoanlly. A pic would really help. Cause I am shoting from teh hip lol

The only steel-braided line under my C5 is the nitrous line!

Im not saying its not possiable but i doubt it because this car is bone stock still has skip shift on it and everything got it from a corvette dealer... possiable but doubt it

FWIW...a friend of mine who dabbles in two way radio quite heavily actually runs ground straps to his exhaust pipes to cut down on radio interfierance(sp?) created by the electrics of his car/truck being transmitted by the exhaust system.

Like I said, he's kinda heavy into this sort of thing.........

I agree with STU. I had my exhaust system out last weekend and all of my O2 sensor wires had a steel braided looking cover over the wires
