why do C5's put down less power?
i mean is it in the tune, that they get from the factory and if thats true, than why would GM do this to C5's?
, o well at least thats one of the reasons why vette's handle better
than F-bodies. so basically its just that and not that they detune vette's? Trending Topics
I traded in my 2002 NHRA SE Trans Am for my current '01 C5 Coupe. Although, the TA was a nice ride I have no regrets & love my MagRedC5.

BTW, nice color C5 of your's.

You took the words straight out of my mouth. The vettes will still be faster and will handle better.
There are three performance reducing systems on the C5;
1. Active Handling [AHS]
2. Traction control [TCS]
3. Torque management. [TMS]
Each unique, having it's own specific job to perform. IMHO, the AHS is an outstanding C5 feature, which I rarely disengage. I will hold "the button" for 5 seconds to engage the Competition mode, which disengages the TCS, yet AHS remains engaged. My TMS has been deleted via LS1 Edit.
ALL cars have it. Grab yourself an editing program,...or grab a diablosport tuner,..you can turn it off,...and on. Well worth it.
