C6 Z06

I saw a Red C6 Z06 today in the small town that I reside in. I passed it on the road. Have they been out for very long?

I didnt think that they have officially been released yet????

When I saw it, I was getting ready to make a right turn. The Vette was coming towards me on the street I was wanting to turn onto, and the first thing I noticed was the hood. Then since the car was coming at me at such an angle where I could see the side and the front, I could see the much larger tires and bulged fenders. I never saw the plate to see where it was from or if it was a manufacturer's plate. Needless to say, I was impressed.

They haven't been released yet. At Corvettes @ Carlisle (held two weekends ago) there were a total of three, all under the GM tent and owned by GM. Even Kerbeck's of Atlantic City, the largest Corvette dealership in the world, didn't yet have any available. The car you saw was undoubtedly a GM-owned car.

They are way cool! GM also had a frame/drivetrain on display. The new Z06 is truly a legal race car with aluminum frame and magnesium crossmembers.

It was bright red, so it wasn't too hard to miss it.

The headquarters for Delphi Electronics is about 20 minutes away from me, so maybe they were headed there.

I went to the '05 Detroit Auto Show to see the official unveiling of the Z06 Street & Race Versions back in January, so I've been a fan of the Z06 ever since. If only I could afford to own one.
