Computer + Recall
Well I got it back today and my fans are back at the default and my cags was also reset (basically just turned back on)
The only conclusion I can come up with is that for some reason the steering column recall made them reflash the PCM to a new firmware I guess?
No big deal, I will just go retune it, but I found that it was odd that the PCM is set back to stock.
I DONT CARE!!
If that's all they are doing to fix the problem, it's just to cover THEIR OWN ASSES, not to help you. I would only take it in if it was an A4 and it actually fixed the stupid problem. Otherwise, i'd either take the lock out, or leave it as it is.

If you must go for a flash (i never will),maybe you can make a copy of your custom tune, and after they flash your PCM,you whip out your laptop and download your custom tune back in.This would be a must if you had a big cam with raised idle rpms and the famous hole drilled in the throttle blade..
