LS6 block in 2002 camaro how can you tell??

i think i might have an ls6 block in my 2002 z28 because the water pump in not one from a 98-2002 because i just got a hypertech 160 stat and it does not fit, how can you tell if you have an ls6 block in a 2002 z28 camaro, i heard they put some in because they ran out of the ls1's, thanks

No, forget that. In 02, an LS1 block would have had the bullseyes cast into the block in front of the valley cover and by the pass. side cylinder head on the front edge of the block. If you see a bullseye, you have an LS1 block.
Regardless, it doesnt make a damn bit of difference what type of block you have, since the thermostat installs in the water pump.
