I have seen many get 25-27rwhp with a CAI, ported TB, high-flow bridge, and LS6 intake. Forget the advertised claims, they are BS.

If you are talking about the best single bolt-on for drag strip performance, my suggestion is a good set of drag radials or ET Streets. You could pick up as much as a full second in elapsed time with good traction.

I agree with gears, then headers and vararam intake. Minimal gains from a ported throttle body, so save your money. if racing get some better tires or drag radials. BTW My 02 coupe dynoed 349 rwhp with LG headers, vararamand tune, thats a 45 rwhp gain.

there are lots of mods to get, the FIRST one should be a dte transmission/rear end brace.... falling close second is a hardened outputshaft and a clutch... then worry about making the power and getting it to stick, otherwise you'll have lots of power and broken driveline parts...

1. CAI Black Wing.. or Vram.. I picked up 16rwhp when I put the black wing on my 99 when I had it. Id prob go with a haltch. Stinger now.. they have the cold air with the air bridge.

As far as power production goes, bolting on an ATI ProCharger at 8 psi of boost will gain you 140 rwhp on a Mustang Chassis Dyno, more an an unloaded Dynojet. This is about an extra 200 hp at the engine. Bob

I agree, on my old 2000 and my new 02 Z the cold air kits are the best bolt on for the money. I just went with the Raptor XXL and I picked up some great gains and my Z and my buddy has a Halltech on his 01 and thats his only mod it worked good to but he is thinking of doing a Raptor swap. The thing is huge and looks hella cool. I would also say the Diablosport Predator worked great for me as well. I did my tuning on a local Dyno and was very happy with the gains and the fact you dont need a pc to look at engine data. I also did the cheap stuff like the TB-bypass and a lower thermostat.
