How old are you corvette guys???
33...second Vette of my own, other was '01 vert. Dad teased me from the age of 12...'69 rally yellow vert. Then we raced a '65 until I was 16, at which time he stopped all Vette activities. Funny how that worked.

Old is a frame of mind I am 50 now, retired from HP, with a new 2005 Corvette Coupe. It has a 6 spd, Z51 & competition grey wheels; Simple, but functional. I have added the Random Tech 3" SS exhaust, which is very loud and draws loads of comments, a VaraRam Snake Charmer cold air intake, a Granetelli MAF and a Predator programmer. I intend to add a FAST intake and 90mm TB, a roll bar, and finally different heads & cam (probably after it is 3 or 4 years old.
But I have had several Corvettes. 1) used 1979 L82 Coupe in 1980 w 10K miles 2) a new 1982 red coupe in the fall of 1982 3) a new 1984 red coupe in '84. Then we raised kids and I told my deal wife I could wait. I made it to the C6 and just had to have one! My 16 year old daughter thinks it's cool, all her friends can't believe her "old dad" has a new Corvette.
I have loved them all!

I'm 20 and have had 3 vettes.... The first a 1980 that I rebuilt then I have a 2001 coupe with K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust system.... Now I have a 2005 Z51 C6 nothing yet but I am kicking the idea around of many bolt ons and a significant amount of spray.

Raced a 1965 "Street" GTO in 65 all over the midwest! (Ran 12.70's)
Had a 62 Vette in 70 - Did a body off frame resto. (Drove it cross country to Mexico to get a Diamond/Button Tuffted Interior)
Bought New in 00 a 2000 C5 Coupe which now has a C5-R 427 Blower Motor about 900 HP on 93 Oct. Dyno's 760 RWHP, Runs mid 9's @ 140, I do the driving! I put about 140 - 160 runs on it each year. Did the Hot Rod Mag. Pump Gas Drags in 05, Doing the Hot Rod Mag. Drag Week in 06. Wife and I do Cruise nights about 4x a week. Car has been in Hot Rod Mag, Vette Mag., is on the Comp Cams, FLP, Vinci HP, Hot Rod Mag., FLT Tranny, Precision Engineering, ProCharger Websites. In Illinois I run at Byron (The Playground Of Power), "DaGrove" in Wisc., and Joliet on a pretty regular basis. See you at the drags!!

1.) at 16 i bought a 1991 L98 camaro 62K...in town at a FORD dealership---hit and run never caught the bastard
2.) then i bought a 96 z28-in town
3.) at 17-18 bought a 1997 30th anniversary z28 camaro-in town
4.) 18-19 bought a 1998 ws6 trans am-north dakota to vancouver washington just over 3,000 mile trip-yep, it was worth it!
5.) AT 20 FINALLY SAVED THE CASH TO AFFORD A 1998 Z51 CORVETTE! FIRST DROVE TO TEXAS FROM NORTH DAKOTA TO GET A 1997 BUT MY DAMN CREDIT CARD GOT STOLEN SO I PRETTY MUCH HAD TO TURN AROUND AND I CAME BACK EMPTY HANDED, NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER FOUND A BLACK M6 WITH LOW MILES HAHA, FUNNY HOW THIS WORLD WORKS! THIS TIME I HAD TO DRIVE TEN MINUITES FROM MY HOUSE! NOT OVER 1,000 MILES
THE BEST IS KNOWING I DID IT MYSELF, I WORKED MY *** OFF FOR EVERY CAR, I DIDNT WANT TO LOOK BACK EVEN AT MY AGE AND SAY I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS OR SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT THAT THAT F-BODY...I WORKED MY WAY UP TO A BEAUTIFUL C5, I STILL WANT MY 1991 BACK AND MY WS6. AT LEAST ONCE A DAY SOMEONE SAYS I LIKE YOUR DADS CAR, OR THEY SAY IS THAT YOUR DADS? FIRST I FLIP THEM OFF AND TELL THEM ILL BREAK THEIR JAW OFF THEIR HEAD...THEN THEY SHUT UP....HAHA...I HATE PEOPLE THAT JUDGE ME CUZ OF THE C5, IT GETS OLD.
