Default Limited aftermarket/performance support for C4?

Hey! I'm not a 'Vette owner, but I was just wondering about something. I've been searching around quite a bit for F-Body parts and it hit me that it *seems* like there are very few actual performance parts vendors that support the LT1 powered C4, and even fewer who continue to carry modifications for the TPI models. How do C4 enthousiasts get fast? What kinda Corvette specific upgrades are avalable for these cars?

One thing would explain it I guess: is there a good amount of carry-over from other LT1/TPI cars? All I've seen is a few exhaust setups, a CAI unit, intake runners, etc. Where do you C4 guys go for your "stuff"?

Thanks guys.

-Josh

Why research & design parts for cars that aren't going to move volume?
C5's have made the C4 obsolete and the people who spend big money and lots of it aren't the guys who got a deal on 13 year old '93 for 11 grand.

First off,...parts have been around for a while, long before the LS1.

think DRM as in Doug Rippie Motorsports. The mans idea of speed is badass. How about Lingenfelter,...and there 383 all motor F-body doing 197 mph with ported LT1 heads. AFR makes heads. TFS (trick flow) has heads. ahh....TPiS I think.

BBK makes TB's...edelbrock does.\\hooker makes long tubes.

GM makes parts, like the badass LT4 setup. Great for it's time, completely underated.

to name a couple.

Sometime, local shops will work on the cars,...performance based.

Also, how bout JOHN MEANEY of BIG STUFF FUEL INJECTION?

There out there, but it's like holmes says, it's kinda a dead market now,...with the available unmatched power of the LSX.

Scoggin Dickey has a set of heads, base plate and runners for the TPI that will make a TPI whip the LT1. TPIS came about because of the TPI. They can turn one into a ZR1 eater for little cash outlay. They do not get the air play now days because the LS1 is all the rage still.

Just wondering because I was that guy who could get a good deal on a 13 year old C4, and it would only be a matter of time before I wanted to start dumping cash into it...

Thanks for the info guys, especially V-Series.

To me any car can be fast, it just takes time and patience. I had a 98 c5 w/a cam and bolt ons. It was fun and fast. I wanna build a 95 c4 w/ a built a4 3.90 rear lt4 heads intake big cam and full exhaust. Im not rueling out nitrous yet but we'll see what that combo can run.

I love C4's, I almost bought an LT-4 C4. C4's are greatly underated, people think they are really slow but they are not that bad. A 96 GS with black zr1 rims is really sexy IMHO. But, you can do alot to a LT1/4 engine. I think ATI procharger claims like a 70% gain on LT1s.
