Here are pics that another LS1 member showed me. I stole his photos (as to not steal his bandwidth) and posted them here:

It's a 6 point, bolt-in, Wolfe Racecraft rollbar, powdercoated with fixed sidebars... I placed my order for one just like it 01/06 when they were on sale.

If you know were theres a tighter fitting one on the market, post up..I'm just trying to help the dude out,not argue with you.

The Wolfe fits GREAT. VERY tight against the roof.

It can't get any tighter in there. You don't even notice the bar when looking in the rear view mirror.

I know the owner Jason of elite race cars that built your cousins cage. Was the car a blue Z06 ?? I may have saw it at the shop a couple of years ago. He puts alot of time
in his cages to get them perfect and welded to the frame not just bolted in composite. If i were going to get a cage i would definatly get one by "Elite race cars".
Partially cause he's 10 minutes down the road and cause i would rather have a custom cage made to my preferances. I had a wolf weld in on my 98 firebird and it was "OK" but not as good as some customs that Ive seen. For the couple of hundred extra i would look into a custom.

That does fit nice. Very clean look too! But I want a swing bar for the drivers side and no bar for the passanger side (so the wife won't bitch about getting in).

How much is this cage? And how much would it be for a 5 point with a drivers swing out bar?

Thanks for the pics........they look great!

I have a budget and I need to get a lot of things. Cage, harness, fire jacket, DTE strut brace, etc. And I still gotta get the nitrous kit as well.

Here's another picture (with my firesystem installed), showing how far up and back the main hoop is on the Wolfe bars:

You can get a 5pt from Wolfe with a swingout. Just go to their website. You can select all the options and then add it to your cart to determine the price. I think they're running 2-3 mos backlog on bars, though.

Will the fit and finish be as nice as yours? I like the way your cage sits. Its not too invasive..........

I assume it would be the same, I didn't order anything special. It's their black, 6pt bolt in, chrome moly bar w/fixed door bars. I had a Wolfe bar in my Firebird that fit very well, too. That's why I bought the Wolfe this time around for my C5. Their quality seems very consistent.

Thanks for the info and pictures..........I'll probably be purchasing the 5 point when I get home from this deployment!

Well I'm looking into a cage because I ran my 11.88 with a 1.795 60' time and thats after only 6 passes spread over 2 visits to the track. So when I learn to drive it better and get it to launch on a good low 1.6 or high 1.5 60' time, that should produce a solid mid 11sec ET. So I'm in cage territory right there!

I also plan on putting 150 shot on it when I get home...........that will definately put me in the "needing a cage realm!" Robert said he was going to help me chose and install the nitrous and since he just put a cage in his car he offered to help me with that too.........

So here in mid July (when I return from deployment) I should have a nice project on my hands. I also still have the LS6 intake in my garage that needs installing. If all comes together as planned, I should be running high 10's by the end of summer!

If you're running mid-high 11s now, a 150 shot will push you down into the mid 10s (at least) with traction. I recommend shopping around for harness solutions and a seat pass thru for the shoulder straps, unless you already have the sport seats in your car.

FWIW, I tried putting a Sparco Evo L in my car and it would not fit with the Wolfe door bar. I'm trying to figure out what to do right now for a driver's seat

I do have the sport seats and I understand I will need to purchase the front harness strap bar. The peice that bolts to the two front seat bolts! I hope to eventually run mid 10's, That would kick ***! But I'm giving myself a margin for error. The first time out with my current setup, I ran 12.5. But after 6 passes, I got it down to 11.88! with 1.795 60' (which is my best so far) So with some more practice and patience, I should be mid 11's N/A. I'm trapping 94mph in the 1/8th and 119mph in the 1/4. That is mid 11 mph isn't it?
