I need a C5 5 point cage...
Here is the link to my post in the Drag Racing section..

That just dowsn't look that good, fit and finish wise.
My cousin had a local place, ahh...think it's elite race cars in ft.pierce fla. His cage is a six point, with swing out door bars,...and the FIT, is WAAAAAAAAAYYYY tighter then that. It cost him like 1400 bucks but, well worth it. It really does look factory, and well thought out. The car is at MTI right now, and the guys there really complimented his cage.
Your better off getting a custom cage in your CORVETTE then a bolt in unit.
Trust me, it'll look alot better.
There has to be a bolt on plate to weld the bars to due to the composite constuction of the c5.These are the same, plate bolts to body, and under the body to the frame, then cage is welded to plate. It's the only way to do it and NHRA legal.

I heard that all you need to run 11.49's and quicker is a 5 point bolt in roll bar!
Anyone have anymore info on that??

ah,..not argueing.
Like my first post said, get yourself a CUSTOM cage, at a place that has a good reputation. Don't get a bolt-in if your trying to compete.
My cousins, custom 6 point cage, is NHRA certified, it is completely custom built for the car, and looks excellent. It is tight, and it passes inspection everytime. It is by far, the nicest cage "I" have seen in a vette.
All I am saying is find a LOCAL shop, that would be willing to do the job. Againm, it costed my cousin 1400 bucks, for a chromeoly roll cage, with swing out door bars.
Without a doubt, my next thousand dollar mod.
Don't take it the wrong way g,...but bolt-ins aren't that great for raceing/fit. or finish. In my experience.
There has to be a bolt on plate.I doubt it would pass without one.You can't weld to a balsawood floor covered in epoxy composition or whatever the technical chemical is,and a person surely doens't want a hole in the floor were the bar goes thru to the frame. It has to have two plates, like sandwich, one under the floor welded to the frame, and one inside on top of the floor, they have to bolt together forming a sandwich on the floor, then the cage can weld to the inside plate.Thats why the add says weld/bolt on installation.

I understand your point.
However it's fastened to his(my cousins) car,...it is without a doubt very tight, perfect fitting.
First chance I get to take some pic's,...i'll post em for everyone.
Peace out.
If your cousins is that good,he should maybe produce them and make some cash.I will be getting a nice anodized red one in about a year for my black c5,i will be looking at anyone who makes them.I forgot to check Lingenfelter.
But ya,tell your cousin to post up.Cages look sweet in c5s also..gotta have the swing out side for sure though.

Within the next two weeks,...i'll have some pictures of the cage. I'll take some next weekend at sebring.
It looked great. Probably not as tight fitting as the one your cousins! But good none the less..........Now my biggest deal here is the price quality ballance. If this vendor has the best quaility for the price, then cool!!!
But from what I saw, that cage didn't have a swing bar and Robert's did. It was nice quality too.
But please show me the high quality stuff too.........I may just change my mind and spring for something better.

For me,..it's a daily driver, so I want something that can, although it is a rollcage, look good.
I'll grab some pictures.
Check out this link, my friends and I have 3 Corvette Coverts and are seriously thinking about this cage.
