True. And I meant to correct Santiago, the 600 cars are twin turbo V12s. No 'pulley' swap for more boost like on the 55K motors (E55, SL55, CL55, S55, CLS55).

wow this thread is completely dumb what the hell was this guy thinking when he wrote this. the vette was not made to compete with the merc amg's it was made to compete with the viper and gt. who is this guy. plus the viper does loose to the vette on EVERY test ive seen so far. but i still love vipers! please someone take this guy out of his misery.

Dude, he's talking about the 2006 Z06 vs the 2006 SRT-10 - not the 2001 cars

Also fits the statement. I don't own a vette (poormans) but I have read where the C5 Z06 pulled the vipers fangs!

In fact, the ease with which the Z06 snaps its rear tires loose means you need to be careful with your inputs. Both cars are serious heavy hitters, with scary amounts of power and almost frightening limits. But the Z06 hits hardest.
Which leads us to the winner, the new Corvette Z06.
