Default Value of the C5 Z06 rising?

Is it just me, or do the guides seem to show that the C5 Z06 values are going up? i would swear the last time I checked, average trade-in value was around $30K, but now the average trade-in is around $32-33K and retail shows upwards of $37K (source: www.NADA.org and www.KBB.com).

It would make sense given the continued price premium and rarity of the C6 Z06, wouldn't it?

I've noticed that too...don't know if its the supply/demand thing, or as mattslightning said, maybe a seasonal increase?

With the curent Z06 priced as high as it is. The average vette guy can't afford it. So there looking at the prevous generation. Supply meet demand

Price is not going up, might have gone up $1-2K since summer is coming but other than that they will continue to depreciate slowly.

Hey Jay!

The C5 Z06 won't really drop anymore, demand is constant and supply is no longer saturated. When the new Z came out people were selling their Zs like crazy, making the value drop like a rock. I would imagine the value for Z06s will stay where it is, and I really don't see it depreciating all that much -- it's already taken its hit.

I see a ton changing hands on www.corvetteforum.com, and my dealer friends are turning a lot of them too. Plus once you go 5+ years out the interest rates go up bigtime. That afffects the price more than anything else. Very few cars level off in depreciation, and a very small handful appreciate.
