Default Which Headers for a 02 Z06 ?

This is for a friend's car. Its completely stock as of right now. He is debating between QTPs, LGs, and some company called Smooth Flow which I never heard of it. He wants a full 3'' system.

Which one would give him the most HP ?

LGs are expensive, but seem to deliver the most power.

LG Street Series $1195 with cats. I just had these installed and they are very high quality, I am very picky about what products I put on my car. The fitment is perfect and they really woke my ZO6 up.

The LG Pro Series are ~$1800 with cats but will add ~5-10 more hp due to the merge collectors and 3" x-pipe. I couldn't justify paying $600 for 5-10 more hp, I can put that $$$ towards a cam and spring kit.

I would suggest Texas Speed as their new system is both extremely inexpensive and power making, but you need cats due to California.

Lg's no cats. Doesn't mean all the other brands aren't as good but, personally haven't heard of a better torque producing header.

Lg's
Stainless works
kooks
texas speed
dynatec

etc etc

Personally I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't stainless steel.

I got the LG pro series headers and I absolutely love them. They sound great, woke my car up a whole bunch and not to mention they installed very nicely. They slipped right in with minimal effort.............and the fit is flawless!

My car is lowered as well, and they don't hang down nearly as bad as some other brands. I have yet to dyno my car, but I went from 113mph in the 1/4 to 119mph. So I'm guessing they gave me roughly 35-45 rwhp!

LG pros on my 01 Z06 here and they are great. The torque numbers these headers produce more than justify the cost to me.

I have the SLP LTs, but the LGs are the finest and best built LTs on the market in my opnion. I just got the SLPs for such a great price, I went this route.

The SLPs really did provide a great deal of noticeable power and TORQ!

The best bang for the buck is the TSP Headers, without a doubt.
The LG Streets at $695 is a great deal. Of course, $695 without the the y-pipe, just the headers. Those headers are top-notch. I haven't heard anything bad about them. They're the type of headers I would personally buy.

Remember.........you get what you pay for (most of the time) and the LG's come with everything all the way back to the cat back exhaust. Some headers don't come with the X-pipe, etc.

Something to think about when you decide on a set of headers.

LG Pro's here.. much better fitment than a couple of the others I have dealt with or had. ZERO ground clearance problems. Plus you get the full 3" X pipe unlike manyof the others.
