Default Free mods

I'll be getting a C5 soon. What kind of free mods are there? I've been in the LS1 F-body world for 6 years and know all about them. I figure some of the same stuff will apply (TB bumpstop, CAGS). Anything else?

zip-tie or swiss cheese mod, porting the throttle body, gutting the pupcats and opening up the H-pipe, cutting foglight surrounds for cold air.

These are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. There are many other mods that can be done and are inexpensive (under 150 bucks). Lowering the vette is free but I'm not including it because you have to get an alignment afterwards.

CAGS is the skip shift eliminator mod that you can either buy a little module for or use a certain resistor. So you don't have to shift from 1st to 4th.

What is the zip tie mod and swiss cheese mod?

I knew you can lower the car for free

Zip tie is running with the air lid off, the air cleaner held in place with Tie Wraps.

Guessing the swiss cheese mod is cutting up the airlid to allow the flow through it.

I did the foglight cutout mod here are some pics of how I cut em, just used a bandsaw.

They are tricky lil bastards to get in and out, so note where the bolt holes are in the picture when you go to undo them.

Cheers

C5's have fly by wire TB's, there is no bump stop to be ground down.

A great mod for the C5 is a Vararam cold air kit. I picked up 2.2 mph on my trap speed with this unit, and that was over and above a modified Z06 airbox that was on my car.
