There are plenty of C6 Z06s in the Auto Trader in Toronto, new car dealers are advertising them in there for pretty close to MSRP (maybe $1 or $2k more in some cases, but not a huge markup)

Projected total production number for 2006 is 5000 on the Z06. The production of the engine is the limiting factor in the low production number for the car.

I don't know how true any of that is, I'm sure it's not becouse its coming out of the mouth of a dealer. Regardless if any of that is true I think its ridiculous how bad they mark up these cars. Why do they do it? I personolly cant even afford a regular C5 but hey I dream right.

The law of supply and demand will effect the price of anything..horse shoes, horse feathers, or Corvettes. As long as people are willing to pay the premimum prices these cars are bringing you will see the trend continue. When suppy meets demand the price will come down.

and the Ford dillweeds arent any more honest they want crazy markups for the Shelby. and of course they did the same on the GT. thats why none of those cars are in my garage.

so now are we going to see a 25k markup on the 2007 Hemi Challenger? you bet.

i got two LS1 f-bodies for invoice plus $100......now thats fair.
Try being out in Hawaii and buying a car like this. 2004 Base Model Coupe, $49K with a $20K mark up. A FORD GT sticker price $130K, asking $310K. We asked if he thought that was fair and he said yeah, This car is the best bang for the buck. OooooooKay!

Saw another VETTE, C6 Z51 equipped and it was in the used car section on Hawaii's GM Stealership and they had a price tag at $59,999 and I asked if the car was brand new and he said yes, it only had 350 miles on it. I then asked, was the car a demo car or program car of some sort and he said no, the guy wanted an AUDI because he was getting ready for his child to come into the world. So, I asked, that means you are asking almost $60K for a used car, No, he said, this car hasn't even been broke in yet, I informed him that if I am not the first owner outside of your Stealership, than this car was used. He replied, please don't bust my *****, I am only putting the car on the lot.

Geez, and GM wonders why they are loosing money, because of poop like this.

Don't hold your breathe waiting for that to happen sir..it is going to be a long time before that happens..maybe when the C7 version of the Z06 comes out and you find a left over C6 Z06...Well now that I think about it..NAAAAHH..The C6 Z06 is a world class super car at a Wal-Mart price...comparitivly speaking..it produces performance numbers that duplicate performance numbers of cars that cost $150,000, $500,000, and $1,000,000 ..I suggest thinking about a used one in a few years..it looks like the 427 cu. in. Z06 is only going to be produced in 2006 and 2007...making it even more desirable..the 427 cu. in. engine will not pass the new emissions standards in 2008..look for a smaller motor (6 liter) with a milder cam and supercharger on it..this will reach the same horse power level as the 7 liter car..good luck in your search..

People have been buying them at MSRP a certain dealers since the beginning of production of the new C6 Z06...the trick is find a dealer that has the allocation and is willing to sell it at that price. For the most part the car is being sold over MSRP..the law of supply and demand is for the most part the rule the now days..the car is hotter now that it was last fall when it was introduced..FYI GM is hurting now days and beleive me the dealers are hurting too...If they have a chance to make some profit on a very hot car they will do so...I am not trying to rain on anyones picnic. I am just telling it like it is..I wish that everyone could buy one for a discount and that Chevy would produce as many as the market could consume..then I could buy one for a good price too..but that is not the way of the world..it is a fantastic car and so much fun to drive..I have had three customers wreck them already...like all Corvettes it is an EZ car to drive fast but it is powerful enough that it can get away from you..very different from the last Z06..the C5 Z06 made 345-355 RWHP..the new Z makes 455-465 RWHP..a big difference..

There is a BLACK/BLACK C6 ZO6 at our dealership (just came in) priced out the door for $77K. I think that is reasonable.

Sounds like it is about $5,000 over MSRP.. ..You can buy it and resell it at that price and make money if you are a speculator..

No way. Not on new and not on used here in Hawaii. This idiot head sales men wanted 43.000 for a supercharged 2001 vette. with a low milage 2000 vette trade in. Freaking morons. I laughed my own way out of the dealership.

I have a 07 Z06 being drop shipped from the factory in route to a dealer in Honolulu for a "courtesy delivery". The ship is due in there on the 24th. The customer bought it from me but is taking physical delivery at a dealer there. This is the third Corvette I have sold to a customer in Hawaii..

I've got a guy that sells Z06s pretty resonably. He has a bunch right now too. He's got a 06 on the lot with 4k miles and a bunch of mods for $60k. I almost traded my car in on it. I'm not sure its still there, but he's got deals. PM me with what you are looking for and I will make some calls.

Oh, I just saw you have a GLH. LOL! There was a local street racer that had a bad, bad Camaro. After many years the car finally lost and the guy says he wants to go double or nothing with his other car. Winner was excited and had nothing to lose so he says yeah. Guy comes back 20 minutes later in a GLH. The roar from the crowd's laughter was nuts. Long story short the GLH beat the ever loving crap out of the guy. It had to be an 8 second car. The liscense plate said "BESURE" LOL, I always loved that story. Sorry for jacking your thread.

When you are in a markets like Alaska and Hawaii with a small number of dealers with little or no allocation of Corvettes prices will tend to be high on new and used Corvettes. Every consumer product is high in both of those markets except for Pineapples in Hawaii and King Crab legs in Alaska ..

you know i just looked in the sept 06 dupont registry catalog and there is not one C6 Z06 for sale in there ( just a couple ads for carvaggio conversions etc). That amazes me.

There are tons of Ford Gts..one dealer has 5....i think it even says call for discounts!
