what is the msrp on the new zo6? oasis chevrolet in NJ has 2 z's fully loaded and the sticker from the manufacturer says $78,000.00. The dealer is stating that gm raised the msrp's on the 07 models, since the dealers were making so much over sticker on them. So if that is the right msrp price then oasis is selling there Z's at msrp. I know the 06 models were 68g and the loaded one was 72g. Although its an awesome car for the price, i will wait to buy one used so someone else could take the big hit in the wallet. until then i am extremely happy with my 03 zo6.

I walked in a local dealership in a small town which had a used red
Z06 with 10,000 miles on it and was asking $73,000 for the car. I thought that was high but the dealer would not come down. This price is high, right?

yes its high...you can buy one with less miles over on the corvetteforum. dont give that dealer the pleasure. in 6 months they will be plentiful like Ford GTs now.

I just did a scan of the C6 Z06's in the For Sale section at Corvette Forum, and I'm surprised at how cheap some of the 2006's are getting. One went for $64K fully loaded with ~4K miles on it.

Heck, if I found a new Z06 for invoice (or even $1-2K over), I'd drop this Z51 like a hot potato (after my truck was paid off )

I've seen used ones listed for sale for as low as $64,900.

shop around, deals can be had.

this is prolly the best time of year to cut a deal, what the christmas right around the corner, year end bonuses for salesmen, and next years quota for corvettes for the dealership.........

Okay, the potato is hot, but I'm wearing gloves at the moment. If they're still doing this 6 months from now, I may very well be taking delivery of one on July 7th, 2007 (pending wife unit approval and a decent trade value on the current car). I also have to pay off the truck first. Or did you miss that clause?

People are making deals for at and sometimes below MSRP already. Not sure what market you're sitting on, but there are deals out there with the right connections. You apparently don't have them and, thus, certainly won't get my business. I already have a nice new C6 Vette, thanks. I can wait.

I was not trying to sell you anything dude... ...I have plenty of business and I do not try to solicit on here..but I know a little about the Corvette market..I'll bet you that you can't find any dealer in the country discounting the 2007 Z06 $4000...I have sold new Corvettes to customers in all 50 states. I have a new Z06 being "courtesy delivered" in Honolulu today as a matter of fact. I do not know about your connections but mine allow me to sell 50 new Corvettes a month. Have a nice day..

I'm willing to bet they will be discounting them for the 08 model when everybody who cant wait to have one gets one and pays top dollar for it.msrp is no deal, that car is marked up at least 6g over invoice. Yes it is a hot car even what they are asking for it, but dealers are raping people. everybody has there own opinion and some will pay whatever to get the car.

Profit makes the world go around. From the looks of your list of mods you paid someone some profit for those parts. Nobody sells a product without profit. I am sure you do not work for free. That would be un-American. We all have to decide what something is worth to us as an individual and what we are willing to pay for it. That is what is known as a free market. The market will always set itself on anything. Wether we are talking about horse shoes, horse feathers, or Corvettes. The one thing that you can always count on is the law of supply and demand it is always in effect. As long as people are willing to pay over MSRP for the cars the dealers will keep selling them at that price point. I am sure there are deals out there if you look. The the fact of the matter is that the car is a very hot commodity and it reflects that in the market by the price that people are willing to pay for it. I was really surprised that the car was priced as low as it was from GM. It is a world class super car at a Wal-Mart price comparitively speaking. I am sure that you will be one of the people that screams about the price of the "blue devil" , SS, Sting Ray, or whatever they name the upcoming super Vette when it becomes available. Something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Nuff said..
