Yup, I think that's exactly it. Everyone always asks me why I put so much money into a car ... well, because I see where that money went EVERYTIME I sit down in the car. There aren't many other things you can throw money into that you get to see the results of everyday.

Plus, not only is it a fast car, it's a great looking/handling car as well. Best of all worlds.

I like it when people ask how fast my Corvette is and I tell them it is slow as hell.

Then they ask if I am going to mod it to make it faster than my Camaro and I tell them HELL NO it's a Corvette, if I modded it then I would screw it up like my Camaro.

That and the race suspension on my Z28 handles like a go kart whereas the Corvette drives as smoothly as ice on ice.

I bought my car NEW for my 25 th birthday with 2 tenths of a mile on the clock. Now I am a little over 39000 and I love knowing that I have been the only one behind the wheel except for Sean and Bobby at LG Motorsports. I like the Corvette "wave" and the whole being in a club type attitude. You are part of a big family. Always something to talk about too, instant conversation starter. The extra attention from the ladies isn't bad either. The only regret is that I should've waited 2 years and got the 02 ZO6, but maybe not, then I'd be paying the extra car insurance.

After two years behind the wheel , I just love the experience every time . You get looks , driving is fun and it even gets good fuel mileage !

I do enjoy the wave too .

Great thread! Encouraging for us hopefully soon-to-be Vette owners (wife gave me permission).

I always thought the Vette was kind of boring until the C5, and the C6 is just awesome!

Now I never tire of seeing either the C5 or C6. Great cars!

the corvette is mine and my dad's project we plan on putting on a magnacharger. I do help pay the car payments, I pay for gas ,I'm paying for parts, and i pay insurance. Don't think I'm just a spoiled kid. I have worked very hard for this car. I drive it more than he does so I guess its as much mine as his.

I hope what I said didn't come across wrong. I know perception is everything but that wasn't the motive behind me saying that. I haven't seen anything you've said that would lead me to think that. I was just curious how you managed it because that's a huge chunk of change for a 18 year old.

The best part of corvette ownership...

Getting in the car...pulling out of the driveway and driving this car to redline every chance I get...

The acceleration.....the handling...the braking....the looks...its gotta be the total package and for the price we all paid for this thing...We got a hell of a deal.

Very few cars compete with this Corvette no matter what the cost.

The dam car just does it all.

Does it have its faults? You bet...but who cares...

Just driving this thing is a totally wild experience.

Paid for it in cash and digging every day with it.

The best part for me is that they will never go out of style, How they perform and it is like getting into a nation wide club or family. Seing somthing this good built in USA gives you pride. I am also building a c3 that I hope to put a LS2 in so I will be looking for lots of help from this site.

Second that! Nothing better than screaming by with that Borla exhaust and giving another 'Vette owner an idea of what is capable! Damn, that thing sounds good at WOT!
