Well there's a bunch but the nicest thing to happen a couple times is young kids like maybe 14 and waveing or thumbs up, yelling 'nice vette' comment. goes to prove that the marque is alive and well and the future should be to if these kids notice now the'll be potential owners someday.

I found out another cool thing about Corvette ownership yesterday, it's the passion that Corvette owners have for these cars! I went to my first Corvette show and shine, put on by a bunch of guys from the Canadian section of the Corvetteforum. Some of these guys have been into Corvettes for almost as long as I've been alive! After the show, we went for a cruise. There were about 15-20 Corvettes on this cruise, what an awesome sight!

Very few cars compete with this Corvette no matter what the cost.

The dam car just does it all.

Does it have its faults? You bet...but who cares...

Just driving this thing is a totally wild experience.

Paid for it in cash and digging every day with it.
What faults does it have? In your opinion, of course. This could be a whole different thread "what is the worst part about Corvette ownership?" I don't think the replies would be bad tho. Like, Column Lock!! Or pop-up problems.

My other favorite part is hitting a curve and putting the throttle to the floor to feel the g's build, and you don't get the rollover you get in most factory sports cars, its so low and sleek(I know, this **** is common knowledge, but I wanted to type it out loud ). I like that when you got o a family reunion (today, me) that the guys are all standing around like King of the Hill goin "yup" and "uh huh" and "you betcha". lol The couple fellas with the lifted trucks didn't get near the admirer's crowd. And they all want to ride. I took one hit 100 and he said "I want one of these". He previously was talking of getting a crotch rocket. Im glad I could help change his mind.

I have a pewter Corvette and I don't know if you guys get this optical illusion as well but...

When you look at the hood of you car while sitting in the seats does it sort of look like looking down a young girls shaved vagina??? I mean the fenders look like her legs, and the hump and divit look JUST like a shaved teen vagina...

The scary thing is, is that my mother also noticed it before I said anything to her.

It is almost distracting at times... like I am a pervert or something.

I guess it is sorta sexy though.... I must be a pervert...

The commrodary you get from other vette enthusiast or even just car enthusiast, It's great that you can pull over at a gas station and just shoot the breeze with another vette owner and just talk about cars. Also owning a vette is a symbol of succes, and every time you get into a vette it's like your first time, that feeling never goes away. But most of all I like all the tail you get from owning a vette..... LOL, Just Kidding... but no... really the extra tail is great!!

I just did that last week! I was getting gas when I saw a silver C6 pull up so I went over and talked to the owner for about ten minutes. Turns out he works for the same company as my wife, and also works with my brother in law (who works at the same place too)

Funny you should mention that. A buddy and I went to lunch today and took my car and he commented that "I'm not so keen on how your hood looks from the inside. Looks like a butt."

Vette folks are a little snooty, so they bug me a little.

Most folks are afraid to race me.

Another funny occurence that happens as a Vette (or even LS1 Camaro) owner. When people you meet start talking cars and ask what you drive. Then you tell them and they say something like "wow, bet thats a gas guzzler." The look on their faces when I tell them a 400HP C6 Corvette nails 30 mpg on the highway cruising 75 mph is priceless. Its just as economical as some of their pathetic 4-cylinder boxes they commute in. The general population still thinks V8s suck gas, its comical.
