Please don't take this the wrong way, but I see way more corvettes on the road then then a ta ws6. I mean I love the corvette, power , style, looks, ***** getter. But for me , A Trans Am going down the road gets my attention more than any of the newer vettes. I could be wrong, but just my 2 cents.

For me, its the camaraderie between 'Vette owners, kind of like a "bond" of sorts. Personally, I LOVE all generation Corvettes, and grew up admiring them and thinking of them as the ultimate sports car. To have one of my own, and be a part of that tradition makes me feel all tingly inside. It puts a smile on my face every ime I wash it, drive it, or even walk past it in the garage. Its the son that I haven't had (yet), lol.

Didn't the Corvette outsell the Firebird in all forms towards the end???

Guess it shows in who's got the better taste. Just joking I am a Corvette converted Camaro guy here/ex-Firebird guy .

SO TRUE! When I tell co-workers my 520hp Z06 still gets 22-24 mpg highway at 80mph they are always suprised...I work with a horde of Toyota lovers. They hate it when the only positive aspect (fuel economy) of being forced to drive a Toyota Camry vs my Z06 gets blown out of the water. They really get butt hurt when i tell them I paid about what they did for thier new ultracool camrys and minivans

A few weeks ago I had the TV on and a commercial came on about some econo/sports car saying it had a spirited 160HP sports car fell and got 31mpg the next commercial was on the Vette it was giving the specs and said that it had 400HP and got 28 mpg. I thought what great timing on the commercials and I wonder if GM had done that on purpose or Just lucky. I will take 400HP/MPG over 160HP/31MPG any day.
