Default C6Z Manifolds on C5Z?

I can't seem to find any information regarding whether or not the C6Z exhaust manifolds/cats/H-Pipe will fit on a C5Z. I already KNOW they wont make as much power as longtubes but I don't want to have to deal with hearing the valvetrain after installing headers and I'm sure they would make more power than my current 01' manifolds and 4 cats.

You could swap to the 02 exhaust which has 2 cats. I suspect the C6 exhaust will fit, but I don't know how much better it flows over the C5Z06 exahust. The issue is going to be where you are going to adapt it to your stock system.

I read in Vette mag that the C6 z06 uses "D" shaped exhaust ports so I wouldn't think it would work....

I would think my exhust shop could handle that

LS6 heads have D-shaped exhaust ports as well.

Really, I would think the only problem area would be where the manifolds and cats join and if there was enough clearance around that area.

what do you mean "hearing the valvetrain noise". Headers won't effect your valvetrain noise any. I wouldn't waste any time/effort trying to make C6Z stock exhaust fit...not worth it IMO.

They won't affect the valvetrain but since headers have thin walls (compared to cast manifolds) the "noise" the valvtrain does make is more apparent.
